Crochet Gauge: 22 sc and 24 rows with a 3.25 mm (U.S. D/3) crochet hook

Materials

• Hook 3 mm, (U.S. D/3) crochet hook
• Yarn  ( I used Bernat Baby Coordinates)
• Measurement Tape
• Scissors

Stitches/Abbreviations

• Magic Ring
• Ch – chain
• Ss – slip stitch
• Sc – single crochet
• Dc – double crochet

Instructions

Hat- beanie

Start with a magic ring, chain 2, dc 20, ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc ( the 2 chain don’t count as dc), chain 2.

Round 1: *2 dc into the same stitch, 1dc into the next  stitch *repeat all around ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc. Ch 2 (30)

Round 3: *2 dc into the same stitch, 1dc into the next 2  stitches *repeat all around ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc. Ch 2 (40)

Round 4: *2 dc into the same stitch, 1dc into the next 3  stitches *repeat all around ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc. Ch 2 (50)

Round 5: *2 dc into the same stitch, 1dc into the next 4  stitches *repeat all around ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc. Ch 2 (60)

Round 6,7,8,9,10: *2 dc  into each stitch around. SS to the top of the first dc. Ch 2.

Ribbed End: For this hat.I will chain 5 plus 1.Ss in the 2nd ch from the hook (Back loop only). SS  into the next 5 stitches (Going towards the hat you will work 5 stitches) Total stitches on your brim minus one (In this case 5)

Ss into the next 2 stitches in the hat… turn your work. Ss into next 5 stitches (Back loop Only), Ch 1.Ss into the next 5 stitches. Sc into the next 2 stitches. Occasionally, I check the number of stitches to make sure I haven’t skipped stitches.

Ss into next 5 stitches, ch 1. Sc into the next 2 stitches. Repeat all the way around, close with Ss.

Ears : 

Start with a magic ring, chain 2, dc 10, ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc ( the 2 chain don’t count as dc). Chain 2
Round 1:  *2 dc in each stitch around* ,repeat all around ,join with Ss to the top of the  first Dc.  (20) . Ch 1.

Round 2: * dc  into each stitch around. SS to the top of the first dc. (if It starts curving , do not worried…. )
